Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Our curriculum is based around the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) themes of Belonging, Being and Becoming

The EYLF Principles underpin practice that is focused on assisting all children to make progress in relation to the Learning Outcomes.

Educators consider ethical, socially just, and inclusive principles for children’s learning in the early years when they:

  • Build secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships

  • Develop partnerships

  • Are respectful of diversity

  • Embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives

  • Commit to equity, inclusion and high expectations

  • Consider sustainability in all its forms

  • Engage in critical reflection and professional learning

  • Exercise collaborative leadership and work as a team.

Our key learning outcomes are aligned to the National Early Years Learning Framework and encompass the following key understandings:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity

  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world

  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

  • Children are confident and involved learners∙

  • Children are effective communicators
